196 countries were researched; only the 75 with a verified cost are charted, and only those with median-income data too — 64 plotted. Mauritius's own figure comes directly from Statistics Mauritius's 2023 Poverty Analysis report, not the World Bank, after its World Bank figure turned out to be a stale 2017 estimate.
